Pin-teresting Story

Did you notice I have a "Pinterest Follow Me" link on my blog now? See, it's over there on the right. It's not exactly what I had in mind but don't tell Bill. He worked for like an hour getting that up and running. 

And I have been busy pinning away..here are some of my favs...

The funny thing is, Bill joined Pinterest to see if the following button was working...

And now all his friends have gotten a notification that he has joined Pinterest. 

Which is really funny if you know Bill. He's just not a Pinterest type of guy. 
I know a lot men are on Pinterest which is great, it's just so not Bill.

I guess he could pin building materials and blueprints.

This may be the last time he helps with my blog...we'll see...

Easy Oreo Cake

 My dad had a birthday this week and I was in charge of the cake. Easy, right? Not so much, he doesn't like cake. But he loves Oreo's.

 Look what you can do with 10 Oreos and a glue gun.

No Oreos were harmed in the making of this cake. Except that one on top.

Fun and easy!

Quit Crying and Pass the Salt

I've got a question for you, 

Does your family eat dinner together?

How many nights a week?

Is it pleasant?

We eat dinner together almost every night of the week.

Some nights we actually finish the meal with no arguing and no crying.

As the kids get older and busier it gets harder.

And more dramatic.

So what does your family do - dinner together or parents and kids separate?

Thoughts? Tips?

Hope you had a happy and patriotic July 4th weekend. 

I spent a little time styling up some kitchen built-ins at Stuart's house. We had a big time. So wish I had some befores but at least you can enjoy the afters. 

It helps that Stuart has some great stuff. 

It makes my job so much easier.

Quality Over Quantity

I made a commitment to myself to buy fewer, nicer things: quality over quantity.

The new me lasted 3 days...until I saw this...

How could I NOT buy it with all it's cute gauzy-ness?

It looks great with my $10 American Eagle distressed denim shorts.

I'll buy quality next week.
