Job Search

I've decided I need a job. I only have a few requirements.
The job must not interfere with:

1. Shopping at Target
2. My nap
3. Blogging
4. Watching Oprah
Other than that I am totally open to any and all job opportunities. To make things easier for any headhunters that may be reading my blog, I have complied a list of jobs that I would be interested in and feel I am uniquely qualified for.

Jenna Lyons' job as Creative Director of J Crew.
I like J Crew. I shop at J Crew. I could come up with new t shirt designs season after season.

Plus, I could wear my Boyfriend Fatigue Jacket and fit right in. Yes, I broke down and bought it. It has brought me lots of joy and just may help me land the job of my dreams.

Keith Johnson's job as Buyer Extraordinaire for Anthropologie.
I am practically an Anthropologie stalker. I might as well get paid for it.

I can travel. I can shop. What more do they need?

And last but not least, I am available to take over Oprah's show when she retires next year. Have you met me? I like to talk. I like celebrities. I am in a book club and I have a ton of favorite things. It is like we are clones.

Plus, it has always been my dream to work for a magazine. Owning my own would just be that much better.

What do you think? Am I on the right track?

  18. LOL!! You know, I'm in the job market too! If I see anything that interferes with my requirement of not starting before 10:30 AM (cuz, you know, I like to lazily watch the sun come up and get ready at my own leisure...) - if I come across anything, I'll let you know.

  19. Hilarity! I am not so motivated. And since it looks like you have many applicants for assistant. Maybe I could be assistant to the assistant?

  22. I read your post this morning before running out the door. Did not have a chance to comment, so I'm back now. I'm guessing your phone was ringing off the hook today with offers...which one will you take? Fun post!

  23. So many options. You may need to have someone screen all your calls for you. Oprah can be pesky when she want someone ;)
Seriously, being a buyer would be fantastic! Better than Oprah.
