Elle Decor

I had the best Saturday night! First, dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant where I stuffed myself with chips and salsa, cheese dip and the very delicious Baja Fish Taco. Oh, and a couple Corona Lights, but whose counting? Then on the way home we stopped at the bookstore and I got the latest issue of Elle Decor. Some magazines I subscribe to and some I like the thrill of seeing on the news stand. Have you gotten the June Elle Decor? If not, go now and get a copy. It will make you happy. So many great homes to look at and drool over. I had a hard time deciding which one to post but finally made my decision...I may show more later but I don't want to give away the whole magazine!

This home, in Southhampton, N.Y., just looks like summer to me. The home owner, Veronica Swanson Beard, loves the Palm Beach look and the bright, preppy style of Lilly Pulitzer. It shows in the colorful China Seas and Quadrille fabrics and Madeline Weinrib pillows. I love these fabrics and wallpapers and have done posts on all three.

I am a big fan of zebra prints and this green just makes it extra fun. The fabric is Nairobi by China Seas. See more here.

Love the white twig chandelier!! The table base is a 400 pound grapevine. Isn't it great? And the Madeline Weinrib pillows! Remember them from my anniversary post? You didn't read it? Well, now here is your chance, click here. I never did get any...

These pictures are a little hard to see which is why you must go out and buy the magazine. In the red room the sofa and pillow fabric are from Roberta Freymann. Yes, the same Roberta Roller Rabbit from here. Is it any wonder I love this bright, colorful home? The wallpaper and headboard fabric are from China Seas.

Lamps are vintage and fabulous. The wallpaper is
Este Reverse form Quadrille. See more here and here.

I didn't show you all the pictures from the house. There are more. But you have to go get the magazine. We can't have one more magazine going out of business. I would go insane! Guess what? There is also a home decorated by one of my very favorite decorators, Katie Ridder. It is fabulous and I may show some pictures of that tomorrow.....

Hope you had a great weekend!

  4. Elle Decor is great. The designs are totally out of my price range, but inspiring nonetheless.

  5. Oh I just got my copy in the mail today and can't wait to sit down and go through it. I did flip through briefly and saw the Southhampton home...can't wait to make a cup of tea, curl up in a comfy chair and enjoy the beautiful images.
