Christmas Card Wreath

What do you do with your Christmas cards? Throw them in a bowl like I used to do? A few years ago I came up with an easy DIY to display and enjoy my Christmas cards.

A cork wreath.
So simple and easy. Well, easy for Bill. He cut the shape out of some wood and then I glued down cork and added a bow. Done.

(I still need to take down my artwork and hang it up)

I know it is not all that pretty right now, but slap a few cards up there and it is happy holiday time. Maybe I should paint it green...
And what do I see in that cute little bowl...

They're back!! Hershey Candy Cane Kisses.
That's how I know it is Christmas. A sugar headache is a sure sign of the holidays.

So how do you display your holiday cards?
Should I paint my wreath green?
Wouldn't it look better with blue zebra wallpaper?

  1. Adorable! I wondered if you had picked up your candy cane kisses yet. I wouldn't worry about painting the wreath green. I kind of like the natural cork.

I used to display my cards on my pagoda mirror in my entry, but my sister has that now so I've got to come up with a plan B. The mirror I have now is not really conducive to sticking photos in it/on it. Hmm. Maybe I need a cork wreath!

  2. Well it won't show soon right! Or maybe you won't get any cards this that case you should :) I could not have that chocolate in my bowl...I am like a crack addict and would not rest until it was eaten.

  3. Love this idea!!! I always struggle with a cute way to display our Christmas cards. We have a big bay window in our breakfast room with many panes of glass, so I usually tape cards to the windows to display. I'll have to try the wreath this year!!!

  4. One of us needs to get that zebra wallpaper. Love the wreath great idea!

  5. brilliant!! i love having the cards on display. we usually just hang our up with tape around our kitchen table area. yay. i need something much better. something like this!

  6. What a cute idea! We tape ours to the back of the front door. But I'm loving the wreath idea for this year!
