Pillow Etiquette

The kids went back to school today after a week of Spring Break. There were lots of special moments that I hope they will remember and cherish. Like this...

Me: Guys come here please.
Kids: Yes, sweet mom?
Me: What is this?
Kids: A pillow.
Me: Are you sure?
Kids: (starting to get worried) Yes.
Me: Are you sure it's not a Kleenex?
Kids: Yes.
Me: Then quit wiping your dang noses on it!!!

And this my friends is the reason the pillows in my den are made out of an indoor/outdoor fabric with a hidden zipper for easy washing.

Hope you had a great weekend filled with special moments.

  4. Too funny, Sissy! Allergy season can be rough on pillows. I like your pretty pillow, too (without the kid schmutz, of course).

  6. I was laughing out loud when I read this, but somehow when I read it to my husband he couldn't appreciate the humor! Great one.

  7. It must be in the air! I was sitting on the white sectional in our family room Saturday night...Me ,"sweet hubby , did the children wipe their boogers in between the seat cushions? " hubby , "well, it wasn't me!" Me ,"I guess I"ll be washing the slipcovers Monday" ( still not sure if it was kids or hubby,JK!)

  10. Spent Easter with my 3 & 4 yr old grandsons and never noticed until now how much "nose wiping with sleeve" goes on with those two clowns. After they left, the thought occurred to me, "My furniture, my pillows, my throws....!

  13. LOL..I neede this laugh. Between my husband and I we have 5 children (23, 23, 25, 26 an 29) well past wiping noses on the pillow stage; but I get totally/silently freaked out that instead of using a pillow behind thier back for support the sit on them. YES..if there is a pillow in the way the behind will land on it!!drives me insane. Hubby does it to; that would account for his kids behaiviour..but my boys do it as well? they didn't get it from me.love your post - made me smile and LOL
