Feel a little bit like Christmas...
I hung two wreaths and put out a pillow. Then I lost steam. Looking forward to more decorating this weekend. You don't want to rush into it all at once, you know?
Have you started decorating?

oh, I think I went a little over the top. I don't like taking it down, but I am like the tasmanian devil getting it all up. It probably looks a little too much like Christmas...I love your wreaths and the little package in your green tray.
ReplyDeleteThe wreaths are fabulous! I have started decorating, but it won't be complete until the end of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI started decorating as well.. but like you said, I don't want to rush it! I still have some more decorating on my plate for this weekend! LOVE your mirrors in your living area- the horizontal lines are fabulous! The wreaths look GREAT on them as well!

You sound like me. As you saw, we decorated our tree (very quickly, ha), but now I'm easing into the rest. For some reason it stresses me out. I try to strike the perfect balance between my children's need and love of "stuff" and my desire to have more natural elements. I might as well just accept my house will never look like Martha's.
ReplyDeleteNo haven't started yet. From reading other American blogs its seems that decorating starts straight after Thanksgiving ! we usually start about two weeks before so that we don't peak too early. Then they all come down on 12th night.

Tomorrow is the big day, but I know it'll take a while until everything is complete. I agree w/My Interior Life - it stresses me out, but the more times I do this, I think the easier it gets. But, I'm proud to say our Christmas cards are done and are going out tomorrow!! I've never been done this early - this is a first!
ReplyDeleteI have decorated (a little) outside, but will wait til next weekend for indoor stuff...

ReplyDeleteWell that just looks so pretty! Lights outside are up, not plugged in...and I am pooped out already!
ReplyDeleteYou are off to a good start. I've been adding a little each day for over a week but each time I add something I think about how much work it's going to be to take it all down in a couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm amazed those 2 mirrors are still intact- between the numbchucks, boxing gloves and other fun toys you have !
ReplyDeleteyou are too funny. love the look so far :)
ReplyDeleteWe did the tree on Friday and I am so in love with it I might just forget about everything else. Pics will be up tonight :)

love your red pillow!
I know what you mean - I'm done and pooped out and it doesn't even look like I really did anything too elaborate. Love your wreaths on the mirrors and the pillow - you could almost be done if you wanted to bail right now! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I have started decorating slowly. It's exhausting work!
ReplyDeleteWe bought a silver wreath at Pier One, and hung it up in our Dining Room, but that's as far as our good intentions have taken us!
ReplyDeleteI love the wreaths, they look beautiful and totally festive!
