Craft Distraction

My art camp starts today. I am so excited. We are painting self portraits and other fun crafts. Maybe I should have called it craft camp...Anyway, I had so much to do yesterday and instead of checking things off my list....

I spent a large chunk of time covering tin cans with wrapping paper, fabric and ribbon.

Why? I think it might be related to my Crafting A.D.D. And, well, I wanted them to match my green tablecloths and yellow water bowls.

I have to say it was a lot of fun and turned out pretty well.

These are my water bowls. Really it's a salsa bowl, but they were too cute to pass up.

I think I am about ready. And really, isn't getting ready half the fun?

  4. Wow, I'm impressed. Your art camp sounds super fun and will obviously be the best accessorized camp around! My daughter's in an art camp this week but I'm pretty sure their containers don't match the tablecloth. I'm just hoping to get a piece of art out of the deal!

  15. Yes! Getting ready is half the fun! Which explains why I would spend HOURS "setting the scene" before playing Barbies as a kid. I am SO jealous of your art camp/craft camp...enjoy!

  17. What is the best adhesive to use to secure the paper to the tin can? Is there a specific brand of glue you would recommend? Thank you!
