My house as always been very casual. I don't usually like fancy. My style is starting to change.
Maybe some all out crazy glamour. What do you think? Do you like a little sparkle?
(God forbid, do you think my taste is "maturing"?)

Personally, I feel as all houses need a pop of glamour, not over the top but tasteful, well appropriated glamour.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I adore that first picture- haven't seen it anywhere!! I love a little glam, and I think you can add it to a casual house. I've seen other parts of that Palmer Weiss house, and I think it has a great balance. Fun with some glam thrown in!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other commenters - I think a little glamour looks great. I'm trying to add a little sparkle to my own house.
ReplyDeleteAdore a little sparkle and shine, these images are spot on!
ReplyDeleteEvery house needs a little touch of glamour and sparkle. Love these pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love these....like a little bohemian fancy. You should go for it!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love a touch of sparkle in my home!
ReplyDeleteI do love a touch of sparkle.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. I was just telling my friend this weekend how much more "mature" I dress - cardis and khakis?? I for one would love to see your new style!
ReplyDeleteI love a little sparkle! I say go for it!
ReplyDeletePick one room and give it a little glitter!
ReplyDeletePS-- we are heading to Wilmington for the weekend (with a 1 and 3 year old in tow and only one night of babysitting. What should we do? What restaurants are must-try?)
I love a little sparkle!
ReplyDeleteThe last image is a bit more glitzy, but the first two I'd call casual elegance. I would feel really comfortable in those rooms.
ReplyDeleteSissy--Thanks! We want one really nice meal out (our sitter meal) and the rest will be with kids, although ours are fairly used to being draged to restaurants, so we don't need strictly "family" places. We like all kinds of food-- seafood, mexican, etc. My email is hootbabymail@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI do. A little. In the right place. But most of my house is casual.
ReplyDeleteGlamour is good. I love the second picture. It will be fun to hear about what you decide to do.
ReplyDeletei don't know if your style is maturing or your style is pooping...all i DO know is a little sparkle glamour never hurt any room.
ReplyDeleteI love sparkle, shine and GLAM! And I bet you could pull it off so well... just a few elements here and there, mixing your casual style with a few glam touches (kind of like Carolina Herrera in that great crisp white shirt and diamonds with jeans and flats).
ReplyDeleteI would love to glam up my house, but it's kind of hard to be glam when everything you own is fifth generation hand-me-down or found in a barn!
go glam, babe!
ReplyDeleteI love sparkle!
ReplyDeleteOh yes. A little sparkle can be a good thing. Love that second photo! I remember that Elle Decor shot. I think elements of that room are great and would be easy to adapt.
ReplyDeleteI love a little sparkle and shine. Don't think of it as maturing but rather as moving with the ebb and flow of life. I used to want to be all bohemian and sich and I hate black furniture and look at me now!
ReplyDeleteOOhh, you're leaning towards Hollywood Regency! Love it!! :D

ps - I'm so happy you liked my laundry room!!!
