Dear Ballard Designs

Dear Ballard Designs,
I am a good customer. In my dining room alone I have one of your chandeliers and a rug. I like them. They make me happy.

So does your Atoll Mirror. I would like to have one for my home. So would my friend Michele.

But for some reason you are no longer offering it for sale. What up?

Why not whip up a few thousand more and bring joy to buyers everywhere?
Thank you.

Sincerely, Sissy

I have e-mailed this post to Ballard, as well as called and made a request to bring back this mirror. Want one for yourself? Go here to contact Ballard Designs. Atoll Mirror. Style number WM689.

P.S. The last picture is from a reader's fabulous home. I am going to be sharing more photos with you soon. You are going to love it!!!

  4. Hey Sissy,

I actually saw one at Ballard's Back Room (or whatever the name of their outlet is) just outside Atlanta in one of the suburbs a few weeks back. They might still have it. All their mirrors were 50% (if I recall correctly). It's a beautiful mirror, but I must say in person, it was more massive than I expected (and heavy). Don't you have friends/family in Atlanta? I would say it's worth them looking for you!

  5. I love the 2nd photo - just received my Ballard catalog - I look, I make out an order, I sigh, look at my bank balance, shake my head and start looking all over again. They have great style and colors! Jennifer jennsthreegraces

  6. It is a gorgeous mirror and I believe several different companies make it...is that right? What was the cost of the Ballard Designs mirror? Love the images in your post.

  9. oh my gosh, I just saw someone's comment that they saw it in Ballard's backroom!! Call Susan right away. I'd call my sister, but you get to have it b/c of your fabulous post!! You make me laugh. I troll ebay looking for it, but it is not to be! You're too cute. Thank you for including me in your post- I got a kick out of that!! Oh, wouldn't that be so great? And I don't even think it was that expensive. My mom said I have too many mirrors {you know I have that problem, along with chairs}. So I didn't get it. I'm going to contact them, too. Right now!! Oh, and I can't wait to see the rest of that house.

  14. That is one beautiful mirror! It boggles my mind as well, when companies discontinue gorgeous, hot in demand items....boggles!

  15. that would look great in our red guest room- and I must admit, the red walls are too dark so I need to brighten it up but we must never tell Arty that since he fought me on the red-he's usually oblivious to his surroundings but anyway.... Have you seen any comforter sets/quilts that have a little red but aren't too white (my guests are pretty messy)

  22. I was so surprised to see that you had found this on Ballard. I know the artist who designed this mirror and am shocked that Ballard has done a copy. I love the shape, the materials and the beautiful white chalky finish of this. It´s a stunning mirror.
If Ballard doesn´t carry it anymore, you can get the real deal through Nierman Weeks in New York.

  23. Am laughing so hard... have been scouring OLY's website as that is where I had thought I'd seen that mirror and I actually have the Wisteria stick mirror in my bedroom... knew I liked your taste! Good luck, will check in ATL next time I'm there.
