Bubble Bowl

Have you ever seen an accessory, chair, fabric, that you like and then it seems to pop up everywhere and haunt you?

That's how I feel about the bubble bowl. Love it.

It shows up when I least expect it.

And I can't seem to track it down.

Doesn't it look like something Jonathan Adler would make? Maybe he did make it.

They remind me of this little bowl I bought at my favorite thrift store. It's pretty close isn't it?

So what about the original? Can you guys help me? Any info?

  4. Wish I could help you with the provenance of your bubble bowl, although I'm with everyone else. I think yours is adorable. I know it will haunt you until you find it though, so hopefully one of your dear readers can help you!

  5. Hi,
I have been love with the pottery ever since I saw it in Cottage Living I believe. It's made in France and it's called Astier DeVillatte.

They sell it at a store called Trove in Laguna Beach Ca. I live in Boston so I haven't seen it in person.
    It's pricy but amazing.

    Hope that Helps

  6. I have one and love it. Mine is made by Astier de Villatte. I have a few accesories made by them to go with my plain white china. However, I think the two planters in the first picture is made by someone else. And yours is a great find, good job.

  10. I agree, yours is more subdued. But I do like the modern hobnail, it's so exaggerated and fun.
