Remember this guy? I posted about him here. Well, alert the media. While snooping around the Goodwill online store, I found his wife and kids.
I decided this family needed to be reunited at any cost. By any cost I mean $5. Yep, got all three for $5. They arrived safely at my house yesterday.
Aw...they're so cute!
ReplyDeleteO, I do love these. Isn't goodwill just the BEST place for treasures? Congrats on the family reunion...
ReplyDeleteYou made me choke on my coffee you silly girl! You are too funny

ReplyDeleteFantastic- i love a happy ending. Or is this just the beginning?.....
ReplyDeleteI need to go get Brasso today too. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteNow, I keep singing that "Reunited" song in my head. Too funny.
If you'd like to add to the family I actually some lotus hanging pendants on eBay (there were 3 on one fixture): http://cgi.ebay.com/1970s-Hollywood-Regency-TRIPLE-Brass-LOTUS-Chandelier-/380224944901?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58872c3b05
But that may be overkill. There's such a thing as too much family togetherness!

ReplyDeletewow - you put the request out there and the universe answered!
ReplyDeleteLucky you! And lucky family of course.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny! I am a fan of antique brass. Glad you could bring a family back together with your humanitarian efforts:) Great blog!
ReplyDeleteGoodwill online - seriously? Do they ship to Canada :) They are fabulous, a gorgeous family you have! xo
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! lol at the family.
ReplyDeleteThat's adorable! Wow, the one looked great all alone, but now it is such a statement with all of them together! I love them! Good find. I just noticed I'm on your blogroll! Wow, I'm flattered!!
ReplyDeleteSissy, you are amazing...a Samorai Warrior Shopper! Love em !!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so here's the skinny, she left him him for another man. He was abrasive, a really dirty guy. She even went so far as to take out an order of protection, he tarnished their lives with his filthy ways. And what did you do, well meaning lady? You threw them back together, now you're responsible for their well being and safety forever and ever! Even Goodwill was hard pressed to keep them together, your work is cut out for you! (Yes, it's almost 2:00am and I get a little loupy and my imagination runs away with me.) Seriously they are lovely! So I guess I'll go shopping over at Goodwill, nice thing about the online shopping store, always open!
ReplyDeleteLove these, they are great. I have used Brasso and it etches brass, I know that is weird since it is made for brass. The best one I have found is by Weimans. Good luck!Love that you now have the whole family,Kathysue
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the mention!! I wish the quality of my photos was better. Another thing to work on.
ReplyDeleteI just got my Traditional Home May issue. You've got to check out page 44 -- the rest of the family is pictured.
The universe must have brought them to you. LOL. Great story. What are these exactly? I mean, they look like magnolias.
