Friends With Style

I used to live in Atlanta in a little neighborhood near Chastain Park. Moved in, didn't know a soul. But over playgroups, dinner out with the girls, and the Lemon Drop Book Club, I made some wonderful friends. While looking at blogs over the past two days, who should I spy, not one, but two of my most stylish friends from the old 'hood.

First, while over at Kelly Green, I found out Kathryn Ireland has a blog.
Kathryn Ireland of the fabulous fabrics..

I've had a crush on this fabric since it first came out. Kathryn now offers pillows for sale on her website for a pretty reasonable price. Check it out here.

Kathryn's blog, Inside the Studio, is a fun look into her design life.

Be sure to check it out. You will be drooling over all the fabrics and wallpapers.

While checking out her blog, I stumbled across this picture. What a surprise! That's my cute friend Mysty McLelland on the left. On the right is Mrs. Ireland.

Then while over visiting Sarah at Flourish Design & Style, I saw our other neighbor...

Jill Merkle. Jill has a fabulous new store, Simply Home. I haven't been yet since I now live 7 long hours away, but I can guarantee if Jill is involved, it is beyond fabulous.

Jill's home has been featured in several magazines, but I could only find this one photo from Country Living. I wish I had more, as her home was such a special place, especially when the drinks were flowing and the music was playing. Mysty & Jill, I miss you guys and the old neighborhood. Hello to all the girls and come for another visit this summer!!

P.S. Jill, I would love to see pictures of your new home. Are you living in the one beside my old house?

Isn't blogging the best? You never know who or what will turn up!!

  14. I didn't realize you lived in Atlanta for a while. I live right down the road from Chastain. I take my dog running there almost every day. It's a good place to train for the Peachtree Road Race because of all the hills. Do you ever come back to visit? xo, Cristi

I so agree blogging is a small world and it is so much fun meeting new people that are so like minded that never get tired of talking about design and beautiful enviroments. I think now what did I do before blogging. I am new as far as having a blog, only since Jan. but I have visited blogs for the last 18mo. and there are so many talented people out there and so willing to share, It is a pretty wonderful community. I am new to your blog and I love what I see, Kathysue
