Big Love

Lately I have been loving big, colorful artwork. Sadly, big love usually comes with a big price tag!

What can I say? This room is just about perfect. Change out that bowl of oranges for some Orville Redenbacher Simply Salted Popcorn, get me a Diet Coke and the new House Beautiful and do not disturb!

Those planters would be perfect for my back door. Except painted black. With ball feet...O.K. maybe they are not perfect but they are pretty close.

I wish I could see more of this painting. It may be my favorite. It reminds me of the waterways around Wrightsville Beach. I looked on Coastal Living and couldn't find any info on the artist. Anybody know who the artist is? Or where I could find something similar. I have looked on Etsy, but it can be very overwhelming. Betsy P. what do you think? Could you whip one of these up for your dear friend from across the street since 4th grade? No pressure..really!! But I need it by next week...just kidding, sort of.

Maybe I need to find a starving artist sale. Do you know of any starving artists?
P.S. I know my blog looks a little naked today, I am working on a new look. Stay tuned...

  1. I love the Elle Decor spread on top. That artwork had me drooling when I first read it. Starving artists? Etsy? SCAD? If you find any, please do tell!

  3. Sissy, you do make me laugh. I adore the bottom shot, and I love the first two shots, too. Betsy, if you can paint something big and beautiful like that third painting, sign me up too. You're so lucky to be so talented. Sigh. Great post!!

  5. I love that yellow and grey painting in the Western Interiors photo! Hey, I just did a post today about art, too. Maurice Sendak inspired art! You know, a great place for cheap art is Etsy, but you have to be patient :-) cuz there's a lot of stuff to sort through.

  9. Especially like the first and third(?) pic- the two from Elle Decor. But the first is my top fave. Orange in the pillows, the throw, comfy chair, great chandelier, and I love the painting above the bureau. Thank you!

  10. Oh I'm so feeling the same way. Lots of blank walls and not alot of money in my pockets to fill them with.

I posted on a couple of places to search for art today. We must be on the same page.

Can't wait to see the new header!
