Okay, you know I have an almost identical parson's table behind my sofa just waiting for its makeover. I got grasscloth to re-do mine but maybe I should go with a faux snakeskin (or ostrich, which was another option). I need to get crackin on mine! Thanks for the great inspiration!
I am actually doing this project as we speak with real leather..so it is fun see how she was adhering the materials together...good to know that spray adhesive does the trick. It turned out great.
Very clever and looks great. I saw one recently covered in antique velvet with a marvelous trim along the edge. Love your blog Stop and visit me one day Helentilstonpainter.blogspot.com
Thanks guys! I have to admit that I got the fabric at our discount store here and couldn't figure out what to use it for. I knew it was going in my 7 year olds room, just didn't know the application. It really was a simple project...fabric cutter, metal ruler and spray adhesive. Would really just recommend a good game plan before starting. Walker is thrilled with his new table and I am think of putting glass on top for use as a desk in later years. Thanks for all the comments and compliments! FYI I have several yards of this fabric left for anyone interested. Just email me at the above posted email. Thanks!
