Chair Recovery

I have a problem. Well actually I have lots of problems, but this is the only one I am willing to share with you.

I have been sprucing up a pair of these chairs for the big sale.
The problem?

Now that they are recovered I don't want to sell them!!

The butter soft white faux leather is just too good to be true.

They make me happy all over, but I have found it is much harder to make money when you keep everything. Oh, the dilemmas I face on a daily basis. What would you do? Keep? Sell? Make the price high enough to ease the pain of separation? Do you even find my chairs attractive?

  1. Make the price high enough to ease the pain and if they don't sell at that price then they are yours:)) win win.

  3. We are too alike, Sissy. I face this dilemma all the time!! I agree with Lizziefitz, make the price high enough where you'll feel okay about it and if no one bites, they're yours!

And, yes, you know I love them!! I found a similar pair in Chattanooga this weekend but they weren't as curvy!

  5. yep, don't blame you. I guess you'd better slap a high price on them and see what happens.

  6. i feel your pain girl. I wrestle with this daily, and my husband keeps telling me to sell stuff because he doesn't want to end up on hoarders. I am actually in the process of uploading everything to a site. Just having a hard time hitting publish.
Raising the price does take this sting away. but hose are very cool and unique. Do you have 2 chairs in your house you could trade them for?
We all just need 2 or 3 houses and than life would be great.

  7. Sissy,
Check out this link. Maybe this makes things better, knowing there are others? Sell yours, then take trip to the beautiful NC mountains and grab 4 more!

  8. Oh, wow, this is a toughy. The chairs are so cool and really unique...perhaps the only way to really make the loss worth your while is set them at a really good price.

  9. Sissy,

I agree with Lizzie, as we are all trying to make money with our endeavors, if you get a great price you can be on the lookout for others!

  10. Make the price high enough to ease your pain. Take a picture and say, "Goodbye!" Then, skip to the bank!

  11. Indeed if you can trade for others in your home or make the price high and see if they sell if they don't then they were meant for you. I've had the same problem. I just think do I really need them and do I have a place for them? If no to the booth it goes. Some stuff is hard to part with.

  16. Hello - I found you via a comment on A Perfect Gray (I LOVE blue hydrangeas).
Those chairs are gorgeous - I'd buy them in a second.
Sell them for HEAPS, buy more and make them beautiful - it sounds like a lovely, satisfying way to make money.
I envy your ability to do that.
    Regards

  22. So glad to have found your blog. I just wrote a post about how I found very similar chairs at a thrift store and I'm agonizing about whether to get them. I don't need them at all but I love them. bri (You Me and The Weiner) told me to pop over and take a look at yours. What to do, what to do!
