Bat Chair

Can you stand it?
Are these chairs the best or what?? I would love to have these in my home.

You can't always get what you want.
And if you try sometime you find
you get what you need.

Or at least that's what Mick says.
And evidently what I needed was in an old barn covered in bat poop.

The problem? There is only one. Only one dirty, brown, poop chair. And I REALLY need two. So,WWMD? (What would Martha do?) Buy the lonely poop chair and hope another one shows up magically in my near future or walk away?
(It is a good price but needs some TLC. I can't tell you where the barn is until I make my decision. Then I will divulge all my secrets)

  1. I am obsessed with those yellow chairs! Hmm that is such a tough decision. My first instinct is to say buy the brown one and hope another turns up. You are going to have to recover it anyways so it won't matter what the other one looks like. Then maybe you will "get some satisfaction."

  4. I totally understand your angst. You know I do. I guess it depends on how much the poop chair costs (I would hope not much). If you can stomach the price, get it!! It is super cool! I love it! It's so funny you wrote WWMD, Bri and I often ask, "WWKD - What would Kelly (Wearstler) do?"

  8. Bat poop has so many viruses! The urine would also be in the stuffing among other things. Look online. I'll help. Please forgo the poop chair!! Check DWR, ebay, ummm...I'm thinking. email me. I had a bookmark folder full of modern retro chair sites, but I lost all bookmarks in a big computer crash. I'll think of one though--poop free.

  10. No. Bat poop carries diseases. Seriously. Get a hold of yourself, girl. You can be much better. Pairs are always so much classier.

  11. I would stay away from the bat droppings. I had 2 bats come down my chimney this past winter. Animal control had to come and catch them, take them away in a can and test them for disease. They told me they would call me within the week to let me know the results.
Walk, RUN away from that bat chair and strike it from your mind!

  12. Oh I hope you bought the darn thing. I don't want to be the only one buying things I don't need just cause they are a good deal.....Even if you have to hold on to it for 5 years until another one turns up.

  13. How about these? They don't have the padding on the arm and I'm not sure how you ship chairs but the price is good?
