Seems like everything I like on Craigslist and Ebay lives in Florida.
So I was thinking about a road trip.
But all this goodness is 12 hours away.
Do you know how many Slim Jims and Combos I can eat in 12 hours?
Do you know how many Slim Jims and Combos I can eat in 12 hours?
Just asking so I know how big of a U-Haul to get.
P.S. what do you think about that first yellow chair? It wouldn't really fit anywhere in my house, but the bright color makes me so happy I am tempted to buy it and stick it in my closet. Then when I was having a bad day I could go sit in it and be happy.
Doesn't the yellow table remind you of Abigail Ahern? I wish I lived closer!
ReplyDeleteI would buy a couple sets of those amazing chairs! What great finds. Want a co-pilot for your trip?
ReplyDeleteI have actually thought the same thing...a buying trip to Florida with a uhaul! My husband (who I need to help me lift the furniture) is the one who is a bit hesitant about it:) Take care, Caroline
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love! Why don't you buy the yellow chair and use it for a time out chair for the kids. Thats what I would do so my husband didn't get all up in my business about it. I am in Charleston so I am even closer to FL. I could work out a deal to bring you back stuff, I just require coke, taco bell and booze.
ReplyDeleteI'll load up and go with you. I have a new house in Mississippi that I am needing furniture for so get the largest Uhaul available! Well, that is... if my money tree didn't freeze over in the snow last night.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? I love all of that. My husband and my dad both happen to be in FLA today-- I wonder how they feel about Craigslist stalking...
ReplyDeleteI know why Florida right?? I just bought a ton of stuff in a vintage store there and had it sent back. It's way better than anywhere else!!! Even the cheap stuff!!
ReplyDeleteThose are some good finds! I love the retro styling of the yellow chair, but I'd have to make it feel modern day fresh with a new upholstery job! You made me laugh with your reference to Slim Jims...growing up we were only allowed to have Slim Jim's once a year and that was in our stocking from Santa...so it was such a special treat on Christmas morning. And, now I don't eat meat!
ReplyDeleteI so agree. Love those last four photos. Are these all in the same part of Florida? I love Circa Who which I think is in West Palm. I bought a chandelier from them once but it would cost too much to ship their furniture. These deals are even better. I'm in for a road trip and get the biggest U-Haul available!
ReplyDeleteadore the collection of yellow stools & that white cabinet. the yellow chair & ottoman seem to be in good condition, vinyl or leather? either way yellow + tufting is an awesome combo!
ReplyDeleteSlim JIms and Combos, good stuff. And the yellow table? Even better.
ReplyDeletecall me about that road trip. serious. did you see the most recent antiques roadshow? they were in florida and the host and a dealer went into a few thrift shops...I was blown away by what they showed...and the prices! so low!
ReplyDeleteI'm in!
yes, get that yellow chair. it's fantastic...
I know, I want to go to that Circa Who place. Just bought some chairs from that cute girl in Charlotte, who bought them in Florida. I'd go to Florida with you, Sissy! That would be a fun road trip. I'll leave the Slim Jims to you, but I'm not afraid of other trashy gas station food. And you make me laugh with your closet happiness. xo
ReplyDeleteI spent the weekend thinking the exact same thing..... What is going on down there?!? I'm in for the trip as long as we can include corn nuts and tootsie pops on the menu. And I can get us a discount on the u-haul, my local branch know me really well....
ReplyDeleteTempting indeed! You should definitely buy the yellow chair!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun finds!!!
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
Future Mama

i know right! everytime im on ebay, its from gainsville. im like contemplating going myself to just wander the streets.
ReplyDeleteWith these great finds you may just want to pack those slim jims and combos and take a road trip!!
ReplyDeleteI ordered a pair of faux bamboo nightstands from Clearwater, FL. I live in Ohio, and they shipped them to me (for $75.00). The road trip would be worth it for some of those items though!!!
ReplyDeleteI ask myself the same thing why are all the best pieces in Fl. Eye candy galore! Florida is the place to find a lot of Hollywood regency pieces.
ReplyDeleteVery cool yellow chair! If I had time I would totally be in. I can go anywhere with someone who eats slim jims.
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting another blizzard here in NY tonight, so Florida sounds pretty good right now to me....heck, a closet with a yellow chair sounds good to me right now. Great picks Sissy!
ReplyDeleteLol! Strange... I live in Florida and can't seem to find anything worth while on CL... certainly not anything like those posted... Are we talking about the same Florida? ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE to shop in Florida! I am in Palm Beach county and could spend a week just going to amazing thrift, consignment and antique shops. They have to mark it to move because there is another truck coming in full with more goods.
ReplyDeleteI do a Scavenger Hunt every Friday on my blog...check it out!

I could load my car to the brim everyday.
I can take you gals on a tour of all the greatest spots and show you where to beat the prices of CIRCA WHO!
ReplyDeleteSeriously.
