Appliance Chic

I am trying a new look in my breakfast nook: Appliance Chic.

When this fad catches on remember you saw it here first. The redecorating was spurred on by my horrible laundry room floor. I painted it white 4 years ago when we moved in and the paint has always attracted dirt. I have lived with it for as long as I can and when I saw this....

I knew it was time to take action.

FYI: 2 weeks before Christmas is not the best time to repaint your laundry room floor as it requires you to move everything out.

And it is much harder to use your washer and dryer when they are not plugged in. Lots of bags of dirty laundry are piling up. Maybe I should put them under the tree!

What do you think about Appliance Chic? If a washer and dryer in the breakfast nook is too much of a commitment for you why not start with a toaster in the den?

  1. You are a nut! Why did you decide to do this now, and how can you survive without your laundry?!! But at least you're funny.

  2. A toaster in the den would be about my speed! You're too funny! I can't wait to see what you do with that floor. I know what you mean though, sometimes, despite bad timing, you just have to tackle a project.

P.S. - At least you have a cute laundry bag!
