6 Months of Lobsters

Want to see what happens when you send Butterball to school without his gobbers?

(Mrs. Harris & Butterball)
It's not pretty.
When he walked in the door several friends ran up and asked where his crabs were (crabs, lobsters, they all look the same when you're 2). That's all it took. He stripped off his pants and started crying. I was almost home when I got the call to bring his gobbers!!! In my defense, he had worn them for 2 days straight and slept in them, so I decided they needed a good washing. Plus, it was 45 degrees!!! Lesson learned: if he is not wearing his gobbers, I will at least send them to school in his bag.

Thank you Mrs. Harris & Mrs. Jones for being so sweet to Butterball and for not calling us crazy (at least not to our faces).

  1. Too funny! This will make a great story at his rehearsal dinner/wedding some day...at least that's what we tell ourselves over here whenever our three do something really quirky and over the top...which is just about daily! :)

  5. I loved that his friends asked where his "crabs" were - about spit out my coffee. Hilarious, Sissy! And so typical, so I'm sure his teachers think nothing of it.

  6. Have you read the book Owen? Perhaps you could cut out some lobsters and sew them onto his winter pants? Just a thought.

  16. OMG! I am crying. SO cute and so funny! I love him! I have the opposite problem with my guys... My 3 year old is constantly changing his outfits and my 5 year old likes to alter his with sisscors at school. (you'd think by the third cut up shirt and lecture the teacher would have taken the damn things out of his supplies box.)
Hey, I'm catching up on my blog reading from while I was in MIA land and am dying to find what you did with that funky chair you got last summer.
