School's Out!!

Today is the last day of school...Typically a time of excitement and terror in our home. Excitement for the kids, terror for me. It is also time for teachers' gifts.

You didn't think I would let a gift wrapping opportunity pass without paper flowers did you? Don't they look happy all lined up together?

So simple. I ordered polka dot address labels from here, put them in a mason jar, printed a flower sticker with the teacher's name on the back, added a paper flower and I was done!

Even more amazing? I completed all the gifts last week. I was not running around last night screaming for stickers, ribbon etc. Planning in advance is nice. Unusual, but nice.

Now please say a prayer that I make it through the summer. It is 3 against one.
Are you ready for summer?

  3. so pretty! You go, momma.
I hope I am ready for summer. I just had to strip my three-year-old's room of all toys & books. He may just spend the rest of the summer in there if he doesn't stop hitting his brother! Nothing is harder than being a parent :0

  4. I'm sure my children's teachers wish they had you as a parent - my gifts were not nearly as adorably presented! My children are going on week 3 of summer, and I must admit, it's wearing me out. Yesterday, they both started individual week-long camps so I can get some things done. Like go to Target by myself and get my eyebrows done and toenails painted - you know, the important stuff!

  5. What a pretty presentation and something that a teacher can actually use. I have several friends who teach and they have mentioned that they would be happy to never receive another mug, candle or plant.

  10. Lucky, lucky teachers. Enjoy the summer. Even with a high school daughter, I am still happy it is summer! No more homework nagging, "get some sleep" nagging,(of course, I am the nag!) sticking to that rigid school night routine........ahhh, try to have fun and enjoy your kids while they are young, even though it can be exhausting!

  17. These are so creative and personal. I am sure the teachers really appreciated that and there was such a personal touch involved! My mom used to do the same thing with us. I remember one year she made these amazing wreaths for a holiday gift for our teachers. They were so pretty!
