Winner!

Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner. Not sure what that means, but that's what Bill says whenever someone wins something. And I won!!

This fabulous Sea Urchin Salt Cellar from Maureen at Inglenook Decor. Maureen has a great blog, The Inglenook Decor and a fabulous online store. Check out her blog here and her store here.

I know it is a salt cellar, but I popped in a tea light and it works beautifully as a votive....loving my little sea urchin. Thank you Maureen!!!

In other mail news...I got another surprise last week.

This lovely vintage Vallerysthal cabbage. I have been wanting one for ages, but kept getting outbid. My friend Michele has two and they look amazing on her bookshelves. I bid on this one ages ago and totally forgot about it until it showed up last week. I got it for almost nothing since it has a crack. Look closely; you can see the flaw. It's O.K. You don't have to be perfect to be my friend, especially when you're cheap! It came all the way from England and the Ebay seller must have swam it over because it took over a month. Not complaining...exactly. Just explaining why I had forgotten about it.

It will be a nice addition to my collection. I have my glasses spread out in several spots around the house. I know you are supposed to group collections together for bigger impact, but I love seeing touches of this blue throughout my home.

What do you think? Group together or spread them out?

  6. Awww, cabbage! It's adorable. I like the idea of splashes of color all around the house, I would probably be more likely to spread the glasses out. I'm sure it will be beautiful no matter what!

  7. First off: congrats! I love your new sea urchin! And, secondly...my husband says that too! I think its a poker thing? My parents have those blue goblets in white...I always want to steal them, and lastly...I like them spread out, just like you have them. Oh, and one more thing...cb2 has these great lotus candle holders that look like your awesome brass one, only not as fab...
