I've been collecting pictures for my living room inspiration for a while. Recently I noticed two of the rooms looked alike. Actually it was the same room.
Next was this room. It's getting better. Notice the changes? More artwork, antlers, rugs. Its looking even better. Then what should I see from the latest Vogue but this...
Wow!!! Now we are really talking. It is from the home of Suzanne and Christopher Sharp, owners of the Rug Company. I love seeing how this room evolved over time. At least I hope it evolved. I hope it wasn't just styled up for the latest photo shoot. Maybe it's a little of both. What do you think?
This picture is from another room in their house, but notice it is the green chairs and red lamp from the first photo.
Want to see more of their fabulous home? Go here.
Are you a color person? You are in for a treat.
If not put on your sunglasses and take a look, I think you'll like it!

A little of both! I love those green chairs.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun. Have Vogue here now, never saw the other photos before. Think its a little of both. My pick is the last photo with couches flanking fireplace...but for everyday living would prefer a lot less stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe evolution is really interesting to see. I love those green chairs! Just went to the link too, and I love their backstory! The rest of their house is a lot of fun too.
ReplyDeletethat is crazy!! i posted on the vogue version last week. and i never put the 2(3) together. i remember the 2nd version from domino and loved it, even saved it. but the vogue version made me love it enough to post about it. that's so weird!!!!! great eye sissy.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like my exact paint color! I love it, its such a happy color to live with :)
ReplyDeleteI love it, especially that wall color. I was thinking that they really loved the rug company, now i know why.
ReplyDeletegreat post! what fun to see how the room evolved! good memory!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with those green velvet chairs! I'm about to recover my headboard in green velvet so thanks for the inspiration and courage~well done!
ReplyDeleteI love their houses! As you know I love color and their use of color and pattern is brilliant! Love the way you show the evolution of the blue room. The green rug in the third picture is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat eye! Something tells me that your hunch is right - a little bit style and a little bit of styling...

Great post. Love the room. There's a lot going on, but it all works. It's funky and fun!
ReplyDeleteGood eye! Very cool to see the transformation-
ReplyDeleteWhat a great space. xo
Gorgeous mantel!!
ReplyDeleteyour house is already nicer than any of these-and I'm not feeling those green chairs...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great room! I'm really loving the wall color and that gorgeous mirror!
ReplyDeleteI loved this article! It's so incredible---love all that color. Not surprising considering how spectacular their rugs are! XO
ReplyDeletewow. that is so interesting. i had no idea. i love seeing the evolution of a room or a home.
ReplyDeletefantastic post. thanks for sharing the info!
I love the wall color contrasted with the white trim. Can't wait to see your living room! xxoo
ReplyDeleteI just discovered their rugs and heard they are opening a showroom in Boston. I am so excited. They are SO pretty
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I am hoping that it evolved more than anything....
ReplyDeleteLove the evolution of this room - let's think that, rather than too much styling - it's more fun to think that way. Thank you so much for your comments - how do you get to me so fast?
ReplyDeleteGood eye. My vote is for lots of styling. I read once the amount of styling that went before a shoot. I'm sure Vogue did not want their photos to look like they came out of Domino's.
