Twice this week I have seen great bamboo furniture makeovers on some of my favorite blogs.
First, Grace from Grace Happens, found these side tables and with a little paint turned them into...
Then Sarah from Flourish Design & Style repainted this magazine rack and turned if from blah to beautiful.
Of course all this led to bamboo envy, so I decided to see if I could find something for myself. I like to be productive while Butterball is napping, so I headed over to Craigslist.

All these pieces could be fabulous with just a coat of paint. See, Craiglist does have good stuff. It is just hard to find and time consuming. Want a tip for finding awesome stuff in a hurry? E-mail Jenny from MFAMB - My Favorite & My Best. She is willing to help you find the best Craigslist has to offer. Just e-mail her the items you are looking for, the city where you live and sit back and wait. You will be amazed at what she comes up with. She is charging next to nothing, so go now before she charges what she should!!! Doubt me? Check out her blog and see some of the stuff she has come up with. Want more info? Click here.
P.S. As much as I love all the items featured from Craigslist, I don't need any of them. However since they are great and only need a little paint, I want one of you to buy them. If you live in Wilmington call the sellers now!! Let me know how it turns out!!
Sarah's magazine rack and those bedside tables are so inspiring! Love reading about all those succesful diy projects!
ReplyDeleteyou are awesome sissy. thank you. still no takers though. it seems most people want shit for free these days. grace happens turned those tables OUT!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the bamboo! I need to look on Craiglist more often.
ReplyDeleteI just painted a thrift store bamboo chest this week (http://southernexposure1.squarespace.com/southern-exposure/2010/3/22/peacock-blue-bamboo.html). I love it and it was such an easy project!
ReplyDeleteHey, I want some bamboo too! Love the makeovers!!
ReplyDeleteLove this look.
ReplyDeleteI remember when everyone seemed to have a bamboo dinette. The addition of colorful paint really makes a difference and can take the tired brown to new heights.
ReplyDeleteLOVE bamboo! Wish our local Craigslist had equally awesome finds. Perhaps if we move to California we'll have better pickings... XO Katie
ReplyDeletexoxoxoxox. Those side tables rock. Pure envy!
ReplyDeleteI can never seem to find deals like other people on Craigslist. I obviously need to increase my skills!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've been seeing a lot of bamboo lately, too! It's perfect for summer, especially with a fresh coat of paint. Nice blog!
ReplyDeleteLove the tables she did! And the stuff you found. Why don't you at least snatch up that little dresser. Couldn't you use that in Butterball's room someday, painted a bright happy color in a high gloss...This is why I have so much stuffed in my garage. I've figured out I have enough stuff to furnish each of my three kids' first apartment.
ReplyDeleteI have below average Craigslist skills. Or maybe it's Charlotte. Love the bedside table...
ReplyDeleteawww, thanks for the shout out!!!!!! made my day:) and what great craigslist finds! go ahead and treat yourself to some bamboo why donthca? :)
