Dragon Tattoo

I am busy reading. It is not my fault. It's Heather's fault. She told me to read The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. She always knows what books I will like. Well, I finally got a copy. And I can't put it down.

As you read this I am curled up by the fire reading away. The first chapter scared me...it was BORING. Things quickly improved!

Oh sure, I'll still throw some food on the table and wash a few clothes here and there.

But today Butterball was in school and I didn't even go to Target. Actually I had to wait for the plumber (long, unpleasant story), but for once I didn't mind.

It is also cold and dreary here, so a good book is just what I need. Thank you Heather!

Why don't you join me? Wouldn't you love to have one these cozy rooms to read in? Have you read The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? What did you think?

  1. haven't read the book {maybe I should?}, but love those images! How about that room that looks like a library, but is actually a bedroom? And we've always loved the wallpaper in the last one! Sorry about any unpleasant plumbing issues...have a good week-end!

  2. Hi! I need a good book, but I confess, if a book doesn't grab me right away, I have a hard time hanging in. But, since we seem to really be drawn to the same things, I will trust your recommendation! That last photo...I have never seen before. LOVE!

  3. Bill should be thanking Heather for keeping you out of Target. Our bookclub is reading Firefly Lane....so far it's good but I feel like I've read something similar lately-can't put my finger on it.

  4. At first glance of your title + the image of your post...the first thing that came to mind was that the gold chair had a tattoo of a dragon's tail. I'm weird today, I guess! Anyway...I absolutely LOVE that room!!! All of them, really. Glad you found a good book! xo sharon

  7. My book club just read it last month (it was my pick). I also found it difficult to get into, but could not put it down when I got to the second half. Glad you're liking it! It's disturbing, but so engrossing.

  8. LOVED Girl with a Dragon Tattoo... I just finished the sequel, The Girl Who Played with Fire - which is even better! And there is a third out (in the UK only) that I ordered from Amazon.uk - my husband loves them too! Great books!

  15. I was unable to put it down too. Really liked it but felt like there were several issues left unresolved. Maybe they're addressed in the sequel?

  16. Just randomly came across your blog, and commented on your Sarah's House post (love that show). I loved The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, but had a hard time getting into it at first. The last 200 pages or so, I flew right through. I can't wait to read the next one. I think the third one, The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest comes out this spring.

  17. Such a good book...the second is great too. Just waiting for the third to be published. So sad that the writer died soon after submitting the books for publishing. A voice that will be missed.
