Dear Easter Bunny,
I know you don't usually bring presents to adults, but I have a special request. I can't wait until Christmas or my birthday and I already picked out my gift for Valentine's Day and my anniversary. Yes, I asked Bill, he just laughed. And laughed some more. That leaves you, my dear bunny. If you would like to make me a happy girl and if you have a really big basket, I would like...
Two of these blue leather chairs. Turquoise...they make me happy. I would like to use them as the starting point for my living room makeover. The makeover probably won't happen for a while, so if you want to bring one this year and one next year, that is fine. I don't usually ask such big favors of my friends, but I have been covering your tail all these years and let's just say it's pay back time.
Thanks so much! Hugs & Carrots, Sissy

Sissy, you are hilarious. Oh my gosh, don't you know I want those chairs, too?! Is that that fab store in Wrightsville?!! Oh, if it is, I'd go visit them every day. Too perfect.
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw these fabulous chairs in Mecox Gardens... they would make me happy too. Every day. I wonder if the Easter Bunny delivers in Texas?
ReplyDeleteoh, I'm back- I came to visit the chairs and realized that the picture is from My Notting Hill.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I "helped" my husband with Valentines Day this year too. I helpfully showed him the three little paintings he was going to buy me from etsy.

ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious! I must say they are great chairs! (I had a typo on the above post and removed to retype).
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! Great choice, love the chairs! I already asked for my gift as well!
ReplyDeleteI'm weeping. I love those chairs and that colour. I never thought about asking the Easter Bunny for presents. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeletemb - you're right, I took the pic of those photos in the Dallas Mecox Garden back in 2008. Maybe they still have them? Blue Hydrangea - they are super comfortable too. You've reminded me that I still want them as well!
ReplyDeletethere are plenty of other holidays Sissy- you had one today (Groundhog Day) so he actually owes you one! And then there's Ash Wednesday-pretend you're Catholic, and isn't there one for the maypole? And Mother's Day. And Washington's B-day is this month. I know you can talk him into anything!!
ReplyDeleteI still have those chairs tattoo'd on my heart. Why not find your own and have them re-upholstered or add a pillow with that pop of blue?
ReplyDeleteIt is a start and sends out messages to those who -- will listen.

Hahaha I hope the bunny pulls through with you, i mean esp. after you've been covering for him for years!
ReplyDeleteThose chairs are just gorgeous! I wouldn't mind too getting the complete set in a year. These are worth the wait!
ReplyDeleteI have just spent the last few hours enjoying your blog... great site and it frightens me how similar our tastes are! I'm in Australia and obsessed with decor and spent half my time looking for it and trying to perfect it (the rest of my time is with my beautiful family who keep me very busy with 3 little ones under 4yrs and a hubby who tries to keep up with my constant decor changes!!!). Look forward to see your future posts.
ReplyDeleteLove the color of those chairs - and they look like they'd be so comfy.
ReplyDeleteOw, dear Easter Bunny could you please make that four? Just wrapped them up in lovely paper, put a satin ribbon around all four and could you please be so kind to sent two of these lovelies by airmail to the Netherlands?
ReplyDeleteThose chairs are gorgeous idd. I totally agree. Love your funny words!

Indeed, gorgeousness! I love that turquoise blue (i can never spell it, tho)! And the colors in your house would look GREAT with it! Go get them Sissy, don't wait for Mr. Easter Bunny! Sometimes he gets all tricky hiding his eggs and thinking he's soooo clever :-)
ReplyDeleteThis room is great, but what keeps it from being just another great room are those FABULOUS chairs - good call! They push it over the edge from just another great room to BOOKMARK THAT SUCKER.
