Eddie Ross

My shopping trip with Eddie.(Eddie: Top Design Contestant (Bravo), Martha Stewart Editor, Blogger Extraordinaire and Decorator) As first dates go, it wasn't too bad. It's hard to shine when there are 25 other people on your date. I had 5 friends with me that I was trying to visit with, plus listen to Eddie, plus shop. I have learned I don't multi-task well....I do have to say if you ever get the chance to hit a flea market with Eddie, go. He really knows his stuff and he just glows when he is up in front of a group talking. Not only did we learn a lot but were also thoroughly entertained. And please don't forget Jaithan, he is just as charming as Eddie and helped keep all us chicks in a row.

This photo is from Sanity Fair and I just had to include it because I loved this booth.
Beautiful prints for great prices, most from $15 - $35.

Eddie hard at work educating us on fireplace tools.
Yes, he even made fireplace tools interesting!

These were beautiful French bound paper books. My mother-in-law bought three sets for display.

I would love to show you what I bought, but guess what? I choked! There was so much going on and Scotts was so big and I was tired and everyone was leaving so I threw my hands up and said "Oh well." Next time I will know to allow more time and to keep my mouth shut and not visit so much. I was with my mother-in-law, my sister, her cute friend Rachel, my dear friend Susan, who I haven't seen if 4 years and we needed to chat!! The important thing is we had a blast!
But here, why don't I show you what I almost bought...

This suzani was fabulous in person. It was about 5 x 6 and the colors were so vibrant. At $500 I thought I could let it go. I'll keep checking on Ebay.

Vintage Mercury Glass Lamps $295 for the pair. These I regret not getting...but I don't really have a spot for them, I would need to find shades, I thought I could come back...blah, blah, blah..

And this!! Dear Lord this was great!! Aviator's Tool Chest $895. No room in the Inn, or car in this case. This would be so great in my entrance hall!!

Here we are! Jaithan, Eddie and me. Don't we look happy? It was such a great day, just too short. I only go to Atlanta once every two years and I tried to squeeze too much into my short visit. But I will tell you one thing, as God as my witness, I don't care if I have to come early, stay late, drive a hard bargain or pay only cash, I will never leave Scott's again without buying something!!

I did get to meet fellow bloggers Pink Wallpaper and Sanity Fair. You'll have to check out their blogs. There was also a crew from Southern Accents following Eddie around for a photo shoot and story. I'm telling you, there was a lot going on!! There are big things coming up for Eddie and his empire and I can't wait to see what happens next. Stop by tomorrow, I may have some more info for you!!
Don't forget to check out his blog, Eddie Ross.

  5. I love that Aviator tool chest! It's too bad you didn't get anything, but I can imagine it would be well worth it for the experience! How cute is Eddie Ross? I watched him on Top Design, and always thought he was so fun! Maybe he wants to come to the West coast ;-)

  6. I love Scott's... and can't believe you made it out of there without buying something! I am grateful that it's only the 2nd weekend of every month. I usually have a conflict and can go only once or twice a year. And that's a good thing for my checking account!
