Real Simple

I saw this mentioned on Material Girls and had to go to Real Simple to check it out for myself. Once I read the article, I knew I had to share it with you. It is a great way to show you how accessories can take on a different look and feel depending on the style and decor of a room.

Real Simple asked seven designers to create a room using:

1. Terri Crystal Lamp form Circa Lighting
2. Chin Chin Tray from Mitchell gold
3. Macau Chair from Ballard Designs

A Homey Office : Designed by Real Simple Editors
Love the blues and pops of green and guess what the name of the wall paint is? Blue Hydrangea by Benjamin Moore!! How perfect is that?

A Cozy Nook: Suzanne Kasler
Try to find all three items in each room. The blue tray is leaning against the bench.

An Island Idyll by Charlotte Moss
The Chinese robes are Charlotte's own.

A Spalike bathroom: Mary Foley & Michael Cox

An Urban Oasis: Philip Gorrivan

A Rustic Retreat: Susan Hable Smith
Yes, of Hable Construction. Love their fabric.

A Dramatic Sitting Area: Jamie Drake
In this room it is easy to spot the tray, the lamp and the chair.

The furnishings were sold for $500,000 to benefit Housing Works, a New York City organization that helps people living with HIV and AIDS.
