Field Trip & Apologies

It's been raining for several days and Butterball has been fussy for several days. The sun came out today, so I decided we needed a field trip. I packed a bag with diapers, wipes, a bottle, a snack, a passy and his favorite giraffe blankie and we drove...10 minutes to the beach. I didn't say it was a long trip. Jane said there was a fabulous new store I needed to check out. She was right. Soul Searching. Their advertising says "fabulously funky, affordable, fun footwear and accessories". I couldn't agree more.

The store is bright and funky with unique light fixtures

and great displays.

In fact, if you are interested, you can order one of these awesome lights through the store for $950.

Soul Searching has some of the best bags I have seen in ages and the prices are great!

This embroidered bag is amazing: $179

This was one of my favorites: $69
I almost brought it home with me but have you shopped with an 18 month old lately? It is hard to focus.

This one is for all you pink lovers. Isn't it great? $99

They also carry some clothing.
Embroidered dress: $oops, I can't remember. I am sure it is very reasonable.

Great top, reminds me of one Gwyneth Paltrow had on her blog: $59

And of course great shoes
Yellow and Orange Wedge $135

Gladiators: $49
Green & Orange Wedge: $85

Love the bright colored leather bags: $99 ( I think) That cute shoe in the middle is even better in person: $115

I had to get a close up of the beaded purse, love it: $135

I LOVE these wallets:$25
They come in a ton of colors and sizes with different designs. Wouldn't they make a great birthday gift?

See that cute brown one right up front with the flower? That's the one I got. I know you may be thinking with all the fun, bright colors why brown? Well, it just spoke to me. It said "Take me! Take me" so I did. We are both very happy!!

So if you are in Wilmington or Wrightsville Beach please stop by Soul Searching (Lumina Station down from Monkees) and tell them Sissy from Blue Hydrangea sent you!! Or if you see something fabulous you must have give them a call at 910-256-0727. They also have a store in Southport.

Speaking of Fabulous have you checked out Simply Seleta's Fabulous Fridays? If you haven't checked out her site you can see it right here. She has a great blog and a clean, crisp coastal style you'll love.

I do need to apologize to anyone who was on Oleander Drive yesterday between 10:45 and 11:00. I was driving like a bat out of hell trying to get home before Butterball fell asleep. If he fell asleep in the car, that would mean no nap and that would not have been good for anyone, especially me. If I ran you off the road or scared the bejeesus out of you, I am sorry. I would say it won't happen again, but I don't like to make promises I can't keep.

Have a great weekend!!!

Then I would have had a really hard time taking my afternoon nap because I would be trying things on and thinking of all the places to go. lol. :)
