Get the Look - Hootie's House

So I got to thinking about what I love about Hootie's house.
I think it's the over all feel, finished but not too matchy.
I have a hard time moving away from my matchy roots. It was drilled in my head that everything should match...but really when things are a little off or unexpected it is so much more interesting...don't you think?
And yes, while I do love everything, I need a little blue....

Just a few swaps here and there...in the living room I would use some of .....

Gere

This fabric from Lewis and Sharon

And in the bedroom....

beautifully coastal beach inspired bedroom | blue headboard

I would switch to this headboard

And although these pillows are super fab...

Taraz Blue Green Natural Woven Fabric

I would go with this fabric

Are you getting tired of this game?
Just a few more...

Suede and brass chair in Hootie's house...

Blue suede and brass chair in my house so I can check that off my list.

And of course we need some poufs...

Moroccan Leather Pouf, Sky Blue
In blue...Moroccan pouf

There you go, add some blue (and a whole lot of clutter) and it is really starting to feel like home!!
What about you? What would you change to make it feel more like you?

  1. Sissy, I feel exactly the same way! I LOVE Angie Hranowsky, and Hootie's house is a slam dunk, but I must have blue. You've made it perfect! And it's in Charleston! When do I move in?! xo
