Yes, it will make you sob but SO WORTH IT. Such a beautiful book. I had the same feelings you are having about Room, have you read that? Up all freaking night worrying about that kid.
Read it several yeas ago and then my book club read it - very moving book. Listed as a young adult book but it certainly was adult reading - sticks with you.
