My apologies to my e-mail subscribers. You have probably been getting some old posts. The good new is I am not drunk or crazy. The bad news is my blog has decided to randomly sent out old posts. Isn't that the weirdest thing ever??? It's like my blog has a mind of it's own and is taking over. Scary!! I am so sorry and hope to have the problem fixed ASAP or as soon as Bill will turn off golf and devote his whole day to my problems!!
While we wait can you help me with a little decision?
While we wait can you help me with a little decision?
I'm having pillows made out of this fabric and need to know where to put the zipper. Easy right? Well I have seen the dots going both ways and I can't decide which I like best, the points up and down or side to side. What do you think? My life is full of big decisions isn't it?
Side to side, definitely.
ReplyDeleteside to side!

I say horizontal (based on the pic) as well. Also, I just ordered this fabric yesterday!
ReplyDeleteThat is a toughie. I don't think it matters. I like that fabric either way. I think it was actually vertical (in black) on the cover of some magazine recently (maybe Canadian House and Home?). Anyhoo, I have the black (that I was debating over using on that chair), but now I think I'm going to use it on my breakfast area chairs. Definitely more information than you ever wanted.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry about the emails. I like being reminded of your old posts! :)
Either way! Love it. And if you put another pillow in front of it you might be able to get away with putting it on its side and getting both ways.
ReplyDeleteSorry, that was no help was it.
I'd go with up and down.
ReplyDeleteUse an invisible zipper and you can turn that baby any way you want !
ReplyDeleteI'm going with side ways... as shown!
ReplyDeleteup and down would be nicer....or better still follow tammy's advice..have a lovely day..do visit my blog when your blog issues are settled! xx meenal
ReplyDeletehmmm.. I have this fabric on the roman shades in my bedroom. I never even considered going up and down with it until I saw it done somewhere and I think I like it better:)
ReplyDeleteI have some pillows that have the zipper across the middle of the back. That way, you can tun it whichever way you want!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your blog issues---we all have those crazy snags sometimes!
I was thinking along the same lines as Tracy F.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose? Up and down.
My hubby is watching golf too.

i like the points up and down!!
ReplyDeleteSquare pillow: vertical dots. Rectangular pillow: horizontal dots. It is astounding how I can so off handedly make decisions for others all the while fabrics pile up in my own house as indecision runs rampant. Love the happy fabric by the way. And especially appreciate the pretty picture as a parting gift. *smile* Roxanne
ReplyDeleteI have the same fabric on pillows and I have them up and down (points up) - (I love them by the way) ;)
ReplyDeletesideways
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of putting the zipper in the back so you can turn it either way...great tip for me too!!
ReplyDeleteI can't even decide weather to go get mail mail from the mailbox...much less decide on the direction of a pattern....and I thought maybe the 60's had come back to your house and you were randomly sending out old post to mess with us:)
ReplyDeleteSince I'm fairly new to your blog, I enjoyed the old posts. Glad to know it was just weirdness, though and nothing serious!
ReplyDeleteI like points up, by the way, but I really don't think you can go wrong either way.
Have a great day!
I think sideways. But don't you have an idea of how you really want it to be?!! xo
ReplyDeleteWow, lots of input here. I have pillows made of this very fabric in that very color - I used them with the pattern horizontally, but either way would work!!
ReplyDeleteYummy Fabric - I see the fabric running up and down - but now that you mention it, I'm thinking horizontal is nice too. Would really work well with the blue and white vase that I'm giving away on my blog right now!
