Does your heart beat with joy the junkier and dirtier a place is or do you cringe and reach for hand sanitizer?
Me? The dirtier the better!
And if you live within an hour or two of Wilmington, NC and have a favorite junk store e-mail me: siskotte@ec.rr.com. If you share, I'll share!
So what about you? Do you like your stores rough or refined?

both!! But not too refined. xo
ReplyDeleteI think you know my answer! I love the thrill of the hunt which usually means the grittier and grungier the better! But I do love to gaze at beautiful things put together in a lovely environment, but usually just for ideas.
ReplyDeleteDirty places all the way! If it's clean and nice I can't afford what they are selling.
ReplyDeleteI'm a dirty girl all the way! Just stimulates the imagination. I went through a buy it all new phase and was never more unfulfilled. There is just something about making it yours.
ReplyDeletegreat question! why is it that I used to love the fine stuff when I was younger - but now I love the really dusty, quirky stuff I gotta dig for...? am I the only one...???
ReplyDeletedirty, just like my martini. Just kidding I don't drink martinis.
ReplyDeleteI like a little of both, clean and dirty.
ReplyDeleteDirty indeed. Usually the dirty places have more character and are cheaper of course.
ReplyDeleteI love both - the experience of shopping somewhere elegant and beautiful is wonderful, but the thrill of the hunt (and the find) can't be beat!
ReplyDeletea fancy antique store is fun to shop at, but it also comes with fancy prices too. I love the dirty places, its like the thrill of the hunt- when you find that special piece it makes it all the more exciting!
ReplyDeleteI like them both but there is NOTHING like digging through dirt to find a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI'm definently a diamond in the rough girl! I love a beautiful space - but that's not usually where my dollars are spent!
ReplyDeleteI'm a dirty girl 100%!! But definitely reach for the hand sanitizer when I leave!! ;)
ReplyDeleteGo to the pretty store for inspiration...then hit the dirty one for shopping :)
ReplyDeleteDirt=awesome finds (cuz of the digging it requres to find them) at awesome prices
ReplyDeleteNeat and Clean=expensive
I love the hunt. Dirty please!

I reward is SOOO much greater when you have to crawl over a rotting wing back chair, lean over a Coca-Cola sign and reach past a basket of Beanie Babies to blow off some dust on a hidden gem!!!
ReplyDeleteI like a little mix of both! Sometimes it's hard to find what you're looking for at the dirtier places but it makes it all the more exciting when you do!
ReplyDeleteI love the thrill of the hunt! My sweet 16 year old daughter and I went to the Long Beach Flea Market today and I was thoroughly enjoying myself and she was looking for the Purel! These places look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteDirtily awesome
ReplyDeleteThe dirtier the better!! That's where amazing deals go to die, until you find them and resuscitate them back to a pretty life :)
ReplyDeleteI am not picky! Pretty ones for looking, dirty ones for hunting and buying!
