There are a lot of poufs out and about these days. Of course there is Snookie's pouf, not really my style.
And the Moroccan leather pouf. Love it! I have been meaning to get myself one but..what? Oh, Bill just yelled that I am too cheap. So not true. O.K. a little true. And it's not too late. I could still order me up one, or I may go for the new pouf in town... Mister "I am crochet and all kinds of granny cool" pouf. I used to crochet like a fool when I visited my grandmother in Mooresville. What do you think?
Granny or Moroccan?

Love em' both! (although I like the monotone granny ones v. the multi colored ones) the Snookie mention was just too funny!
ReplyDeletehow long do you think it would take you to make a crocheted one? Hey, we could be REAL granny-like and crochet our poufs and fill them with plastic grocery bags. That would fufill our 'cheap' need (cause I'm right there, too) AND we'd be recycling...

I say crochet (love the solid super chunky ones). Do one and then teach us!
ReplyDeleteLove the solid ones! Loved the Snookie reference too!
ReplyDeleteI think you should get started right away making one. Don't let all that crochet talent go to waste !
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the leather ones (but I'm also too cheap and my husband doesn't "get" them), but have been seeing more of the crocheted ones lately (I saw one on Secrets of a Stylist too!). Is that chunkier one considered crocheted or just knitted? It's hard to tell. Looks like a cozy sweater. That one gets my vote. Get to work, girl!
ReplyDeleteThey are both great! I still want a pouf.
ReplyDeleteI've had so much fun here. You have a darling and upscale blog. Love the pouf!

Moroccan. I like the granny poufs, but the Moroccan ones are way cooler. Just ask John Derian. Look at his website in NYC and then you will be sold.

such a hard decision. I think each one has its place!
ReplyDeleteHmmm tough decision. If you can make the granny one, I say go for it. I agree with The Zhush that I really like the solid color granny ones.
ReplyDeleteyikes i don't know. i'm feeling like the new poufs are a little "mammie." (my great grandmother was mammie.) her entire apartment at 89 looked like a new pouf. so those sort of make me think of snuff and candy corn. i know...it's disturbing. love my mammie...not so much the things associated with her. ;) haha! i do however, love a good leather, handstiched, pouf. and i do love your blog. :)
ReplyDeletelove a good Moroccan poof. got a gold one off of hsn by nate burkus. it was more on the cheaper side :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a chunky granny! So cute! :) i need to learn to crochet.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely liking these poufs much better than Snookie's! Nice Job on this one!
ReplyDeleteI like 'em. But, do you think you really use them?
