Spirograph

You make me happy.
So does that fabulous piece of artwork. Wonder who the artist is...I may try to recreate it at my next art camp.
Does anyone have a giant Spirograph I can borrow? Does anyone even remember Spirograph.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. Make sure to stop by tomorrow for a great giveaway!!

  1. You are the funniest thing, eva! And I know that you are totally TOO young to remember spirograph. I used to LOVE mine. I hid it from my little sister, just to deny her the joy of using it. How's that for rivalry?

The art there reminds me of when we used to go to the fair. I loved the booth where you could splatter paint from what looked like catsup dispensers onto those spinning pieces of paper or discs. Did you do that, too? Those splatter pieces were so awesome!

  2. Sissy, you're funny. I love that too. And I adored Spirograph!! Tried to find it for my kids. Those spin things are still around at festivals, but I like Spirograph better!!

  3. Are you kidding me, I loved Spirograph! I could never get mine to look quite as fabulous as the kids on the commercials though.

  4. Ooh, yes, I loved spirograph but I don't remember doing that much because I think it was too messy for my mom to let us use too much.

A huge spirograph machine would be fabulous!

  6. I loved Spirograph! Didn't you stick a pen in and go round and round? maybe I'm thinking of something else. The kids would love this, though!

  11. My money is on the British artist Damien Hirst. He did a series of "Spin" paintings where he placed canvases on spinners and poured household paints on them....maybe the kids could do this using a lazy susan? sounds messy, but I am sure they would LOVE it.

Spirograph had to have been my favorite toy as a child save maybe the fashion plates, remember those?

I read your blog daily but this is my first comment - I am a NC design blogger as well.
    love your site!
