Ghost At My Door

You know the Little Old Lady who lives in a shoe and has so many children she doesn't know what to do? Well, that's my mom. Except she has so many grandchildren she doesn't know what to do. Nine and counting. For every grandchild she buys a child's small chair. Over the years the chair has changed with the times and the mother's taste.

Both my sisters picked this style for the first 4 or 5 grandchildren. Isn't it great?

Then when my twins, Doodle & Peanut, were born we switched to these chairs. I love them. They are on usually on either side of the fireplace, but they didn't photograph well there. Fast forward eight years and for Butterball my mom saw something else she liked on my blog.

It showed up at my door on Thursday. In this giant box. Light as a feather..or a ghost.

Yep, the Lou Lou Ghost chair. It is perfect and I love it in his room at his little table. Maybe I need one more. Would that be excessive? Or perfect?

Butterball loves to carry it around the house. I must say that, so far, it is very durable. Here he is checking out the brochure that came with the chair. Of course he couldn't be wearing a cute outfit at this particular moment. He has learned to undress himself and loves to practice this new skill.

Thanks again for the chair, Mom. Butterball loves it!!
Hopefully 20 years from now he will still love it and won't be saying "Great! What was my mom thinking? A plastic chair? Doodle and Peanut got fabulous carved wooden chairs and I got plastic!! Mom always liked them better!"

  10. That is soooo cute, and Butterball looks so adorable "reviewing his brochure"! You have one stylish mama! What a lovely idea! I remember being really attached to my chair as a kid (red plastic--not nearly so hip as your mom's) Really sweet thought...
