A little inspiration, a little perspiration, a whole lot of discount shopping and..
Recognize the lamp? Brooke from Blueprint Bliss blogged about it several months ago and I loved it so much I rushed over to Home Goods that day. Sadly, no luck. Now they seem to be haunting me and popping up everywhere!
I don't want to give away all the secrets but Eddie got the sofa, arm chair and ottoman at a thrift store for $225. All he had to do was give it a good cleaning. (That reminds me, I need to give my sofa a good cleaning.) I'm thinking maybe the thrift stores he goes to are better then the thrift stores I go to...
Chaise from Target. Yes, I said Target.

Wow, that is amazing! Such a dramatic difference.
ReplyDeleteThat's my living room- thanks for your great post. Eddie is amazing!
ReplyDeleteJackie:
ReplyDeleteYou are one lucky girl. The room is fabulous!! It looks so fresh and crisp. Has Eddie done other rooms in your home? I got to meet Eddie and Jaithan in Atlanta and thought they were great! Wish Eddie could come work his magic at my house!!
What an amazing transformation! I love that he incorporated the big floral prints from the "before" but did it in an updated way. Looks great! Jackie, you're so lucky!!
ReplyDeleteOh Jackie, that's so cool. It's fabulous- can you believe it's the same room?! You can't go wrong with all that fresh white and blue. Sissy, I think that lamp is the one I rushed out to Home Goods to find. {or at least it looks like it}. Didn't find it.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what some paint will do! Looks very fresh-and I like the dog!
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteThat is one great B&A!
ReplyDeletethere's that HomeGoods lamp again! Brooke of Blueprint Bliss grabbed it up after seeing it in BH&G -- and I after I walked right past it!
ReplyDeleteHa- yes. That lamp! Jennifer (Newlywed Diaries) did a post on lamps from Homegoods so I headed that way and came across that white lamp... and a couple more! I fell in love with it when I saw it in BH&G a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteGreat transformation.
Last night, I had a memory of an Eddie Ross b&a that I wanted to find, so I went through each and every one on his website... that guy is nothing short of amazing! I love this makeover, too! Lucky Jackie! How can I induce him to come to my neighborhood? Free stay in the chic neighborhood of SF upper haight? Hm...
ReplyDeleteWow - what a change!! I'm dying over that itty-bitty touch of hot pink (as I am constantly on the look-out for these days!)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I saw one of those white, porcelain parrot lamps at Homegoods when I was in Texas. Can you picture it? Think Horchow has them for $500+ - The one at HG was $99 - I sooooo should've snagged it for a "one day" project. You snooze, you lose - ESPECIALLY at places like that!
Wish I could go out and snag my copy of CL!
I know what you mean about that lamp . . . it haunts me too! I always loved the Oly lamp (that I think it looks like); but this one is so much more affordable. Upon my last visit to Chattanooga, I noticed my mother-in-law actually has this lamp at her house! I about passed out as I've been searching for one in vain at every HomeGoods/TJ Maxx within a 50 mile radius. She said she might let me have it if she finds another lamp she has her eye on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric on the Target chaise.
ReplyDeletelove this before and after- its just stunning!!
ReplyDeleteI love the room!!! I hate Eddie for his killer thrift store finds. I always discover the junk no one wanted at the garage sales....
ReplyDelete...& my TJs/Hoemgoods are cute lampless too.
