Making the connection between the ornament and occasion or special memory is what it's all about.....a tree full of pretty ornaments is nice.....but so much more special when one looks at the ornament, smiles and "remembers when." Remember to get one for yourself too! Anytime you need help in coming up with an idea for a specific remembrance....just drop us a note....we'll be glad to help you come with an idea.
Jeannie Pence
Pence Christmas Tree FarmAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00141540991749948883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930848372056876144.post-55829161061559679252009-11-25T22:56:32.359-05:002009-11-25T22:56:32.359-05:00does eating til i puke count as tradition?does eating til i puke count as tradition?MFAMBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01306236596066786755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930848372056876144.post-81601178367186993942009-11-25T13:00:24.824-05:002009-11-25T13:00:24.824-05:00That is such a great tradition, they will LOVE the...That is such a great tradition, they will LOVE the collection when they are older for sure!LindsBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00548424318705008557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930848372056876144.post-86474052529858365932009-11-24T15:13:11.565-05:002009-11-24T15:13:11.565-05:00I'm starting a ornament tradition with my boyf...I'm starting a ornament tradition with my boyfriend this year. When I have kids, I'm going to give them adorable nicknames just so I can do this :-))) I think Butterball is still my favorite nickname---just makes me want to squeeze him! My family kept these shrinky-dink ornaments (remember those?) that my brother and I made. They are seriously hilarious! We try to get an ornament that relates to something that our children were interested in that year. That way, our tree tells a little story about our children.Karen https://www.blogger.com/profile/02441070110507014088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930848372056876144.post-13773881457685309932009-11-24T08:02:18.050-05:002009-11-24T08:02:18.050-05:00Sissy, these are PERFECT!! This way when they move and have their own trees, they will have meaningful collections. One year I painted their ornaments- probably not so cute. I love that site and your selections.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13970349444919141835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930848372056876144.post-33528705434840133512009-11-24T07:59:03.251-05:002009-11-24T07:59:03.251-05:00It's a wonderful tradition to start! My mothe...It's a wonderful tradition to start! My mother began doing this when we were young and our collections were built through out the years. Some years, we made an ornament and other years, we received them as christmas presents (some years were skipped entirely). When I moved out and celebrated Christmas with my new husband in our first home, it was so comforting to open the box containing my small collection. Each one brought a unique memory of a Christmas past...each is part of my history. My husband and I continued the tradition and have added one unique ornament each year. Our tree is a memory tree - one that brings such joy as we unwrap each ornament and share the stories of our lives with our daughter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
