Can You Help Me Out?

I need a copy of the June Better Homes and Garden Issue.

I think there might be some updated pictures of this home that Eddie Ross decorated on a budget several years ago.

What a difference! Covering the overpowering yellow hue with crisp white created a serene backdrop, plus the illusion of more space. "Provide visual interest by arranging some books horizontally," says Eddie Ross. "You can also place accessories atop the stacks." Coating the built-in unit's interior with a pale blue added depth.

Window: "The bigger the window, the better — except when the design is dated," says Ross of this one's pointed peak. So he squared it off with Sheetrock inside; outside, new cedar planks cover the work. Total cost: $175. (Linen curtains, from $49 each; westelm.com)
Lamp: Grosgrain ribbon trim, attached with a glue gun, gives an off-the-rack shade a custom look. (Lamp with shade, $49.99; homegoods.com for stores)
Sofa: The price for this chic toile couch, including its matching armchair and ottoman? An unbelievable $225 at a thrift store.
Pillows: The little details that finish a room often wind up blowing the budget, but Ross shopped smart — and saved big. (On sofa: Pink, $12.99; pier1.com for stores. White, $12.99; homegoods.com for stores. On white chair: Striped, $16.99; homegoods.com for stores. Crab, $45; artandartifact.com. On chaise: Blue patterned, $16.99; homegoods.com for stores)

Holler if you have a copy!
Thx!

NYC - Housing Works

Just a few quick pictures from my trip to New York. There will be more later, probably more than you even want to see...

But I had to share these great finds from Housing Works.

I could have furnished an entire apartment from this one store!!

I tried to get this painting shipped back but because of the size I had to leave it behind...sniff, sniff. It was enormous and painted on a board so it was a challenge but it would have been so happy living in the south.

And this, good lord, grass cloth covered console table!!!
All the tables were $200 or less.
Sometimes you just need a U-Haul.
Have you ever been to a Housing Works???

I just found their online shop. You can check it out here Housing Works

Fountain of Youth

Recently I was shopping and when I looked up I saw a really tired woman reflected in the mirror across from me. I felt sorry for her until I realized the mirror was at an angle and I was looking at myself!! I was horrified. I knew I needed some help, so when a friend asked me to try the Redefine Regime from Rodan and Fields and I said "heck yes"!! These products improve the look of lines, pores and loss of of firmness.

Want to see some amazing results???

Shari's before and after pictures
What an amazing difference!!!
And I can say that I am so impressed with my results. From day one I could feel a difference in the texture of my skin. It felt so smooth and soft and over time my fine lines (wrinkles is such an ugly word) were less noticeable.
If you want to see a major difference in your skin you have got to give this a try.
Call or e-mail Shari Porter and tell her Sissy sent you.

And then let me know what you think!!

Evolution - Janet Gregg

Have you seen the latest issue of House Beautiful? Holy cow! It is one of my favorite issues ever!! I especially loved seeing the home of Charleston jewelry designer Janet Gregg.
Even better, her home was featured several years ago and I loved seeing how her home has evolved over time.

Gregg used fabric remnants to make the sofa pillows and the patchwork upholstery on a chair that belonged to her grandmother. The lacquered table and chest, both by Vaughan, hold lamps with custom silk shades.

The zebra pattern on the dining room chairs was designed by Gregg and executed in needlepoint by her mother.

For a dash of glamour, Gregg painted her childhood chest of drawers in tortoiseshell tones and thrift shop chairs in metallic gold. Inexpensive plates and urns, all from T.J. Maxx, are hung like a collage.

I love her "more is more" approach to decorating.
I am inspired and off to shop for more...
Happy Monday!!

Lately....

I have been coveting Vita Kin's clothing...
more love....
If happiness was a blue shirt with black and white stitching this is what it would look like.
You can't buy her clothing in the States yet but it will be available in the fall. Warning...happiness is expensive.
And speaking of happy will you look at these.....

Image of Brass Frog Bookends - A Pair
Solid brass frog bookends I found this weekend.
I was so excited I wanted to kiss them but I was afraid they would turn into a handsome prince and I much rather have the frogs!!
Found a pair Here but I am sure you can find some for less.

This arrived in the mail yesterday...

Holy Cow!! This book is so fabulous!!
Has anyone else read it, poured over the photos, felt like you needed to step up your accessory game?
Get your own copy here and let me know what you think!!!!
